Hey everyone,

First off, a massive, heartfelt thank you! For the past six years, Shinner has been our most important passion project.

We built this platform because we wanted to create something real for the community. a place to connect, share spots, support each other, and keep the culture alive.

Seeing you all use it, share your spot/clips, and build this community with us across the globe has been the most rewarding part of the entire journey. From day one, our goal was simple: keep Shinner 100% free and accessible to everyone, no matter where you skate.

We’ve fought hard, bootstrapped, and pushed our limits to hold onto that promise for as long as we possibly could.

Now, we’ve come to a critical fork in the road.

To keep the servers running, maintain the tech, and ensure Shinner can actually survive into next year and beyond, our current free model just isn't sustainable anymore.

To keep this alive, we need to transition to a paid model. We know this is a big shift, and we wanted to lay all our cards on the table. We’ve always believed in keeping things direct and honest with you.

The simple reality is that without this change, we’d have to pull the plug and shut Shinner down entirely and we’re just not ready to let this project go without a fight.

We are currently putting the final touches on how the subscription model will work, and we’ll shareall the details on pricing, features, and the transition timeline in the next few days.

Thank you again for these incredible six years, for every spot and clip uploaded, evey event and challenges executed and for always keeping the stoke high.

We truly hope you’ll roll with us into this next chapter.

Much love,

Team Shinner
